About Me

I am Christophe, married with Lorraine and father of four children. I was born and raised in the south of Belgium. I have lived in the UK since 2013.

I worked in the Belgian Navy for almost two decades before starting in the world of manufacturing.

We love travelling!

I was used to taking a lot of photos with the integration of cameras in mobile phones but I never really thought of it as a passion.

At the start of 2020, we planned a trip to Darwin in the Australian Northern Territory for the end of the year. The more I researched the trip, the more I was attracted by the photos of the region and the magnificent landscapes.

We had a bridge camera, taking dust in a cupboard (using our phone was so much easier). I started to read tutorials on how I could actually use the camera correctly: it would be a shame to travel to the other side of the world and miss the opportunity of coming back with great photos!

I rapidly started to spend hours reading photography websites online and even buying photography magazines. I had the virus! The bridge camera was quickly replaced by a Sony a6100. Everything became an opportunity to take a photo...

The lockdown restricted the possibilities to shoot landscapes, pushing me to experiment with different genres, extended my skills and the need to learn even more.

I invested in a full-frame mirrorless camera, ready to go deeper into the world of photography. Every shot gives a bit more knowledge. Every photo is a bit of emotion to share with the world.
